Why This Was Built

I wanted to use my skills to help people who live with invisible disabilities. This project is part learning experience and part passion — I usually work with Swift, but I built this web app to reach more people. Even if it helps just one person, it will have done its job.

What Sequoia Profiles Does

This app allows users to create a shareable profile with their sensitivities, emergency info, and support preferences. Anyone can use Sequoia Profiles — you can sign in using Google, whose accounts are free to create, even without a Gmail address.

Where to use Sequoia Profiles

Sequoia Support Profiles is designed to be versatile to suit everyone, and can be shared in numerous ways. Sequoia Profiles also pairs well with the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard and their other products. Here are some ideas on where you can put your profile:

• As an NFC Tag in your wallet
• As an NFC Tag or QR Code on a HD Sunflower Lanyard
• As a widget on your home screen
• A link shared to support workers, employers, teachers, event staff, or anyone else
• As a QR Wallet Pass (Coming Soon)

How to use Sequoia Profiles

Complete the fields presented in the editor, and upload a profile image. When you save your profile, it will be saved to 'https://sequoiasupport.vercel.app/p/yourusername' and is ready to share! If you would like your data deleted, or your username changed, email me!

Security & Privacy

Here’s what Sequoia Profiles collects and how it’s used:

• Data you enter into the profile editor (encrypted for storage)
• Your selected username (used for profile display and encryption)
• Your Google profile image and name (used for the menu and notice emails)
• Your Google email (used for authentication)

Data Handling:

• All data is encrypted and stored privately on GitHub
• Only I (the maintainer) have access to stored files
• Encryption is per-user using a key from your username
• No data is shared, read, or sold — ever
• You may receive important notices, but never marketing emails
• You can request data deletion at any time
